Being creative is at times one of the most complex and beautiful parts of being human. It’s messy, frustrating, fun, and different for everyone. The creative process can help us understand ourselves and the world. It’s a natural part of human expression that we should all value and cultivate.
BUT, being creative doesn't always come easy or naturally at times. Even myself being an artist, it can take a lot of work and sometimes worry. That's why it's important to do a little everyday - a little exercise, a little mindfulness, and a little creativity.
Here's a list of 10 very simple things that you can do to spark creativity, whether it be art, cooking, music, flower arranging, or taking photos. Doing something creative most days can help relieve stress, help you feel connected, support your emotional well-being, problem solve, and just have fun.

- Go on a nature walk
- Watch a Skillshare class
- Paint a Flower
- Take a Power Nap (keep your mind fresh for creativity!)
- Journal what you are learning, feeling, etc.
- Cut flowers and place them in a vase
- Paint a mini canvas
- Practice a favorite musical instrument or try soundtrap
- Take pictures with your phone
